Measurements, with Bruno's drawings

Pick a view. Each drawing is Bruno's own, with its key figures and what each one measures.

Bruno draws the bottom landing with a 45° rail and an 8 in first step. The landing figures change with your stairs' slope and step height.

Seat height
21½–24½ in
Landing floor to the top of the seat. Adjusts in 1 in steps. Varies with: power options (see the configuration table below).
Footrest height
3½ in
Landing floor to the top of the footrest.
Seat to top of backrest
12½ in
Top of the seat to the top of the backrest.
Seat to top of armrests
10 in
Top of the seat to the top of the armrests.
Rail extension
13½ in
How far the rail runs onto the landing past the face of the bottom step. Varies with: your stairs' slope and first-step height; a folding rail.
Chair extension
25¾ in
How far the parked chair reaches onto the landing, from the face of the bottom step. Varies with: your stairs' slope and first-step height.
Rail above the step noses
1½ in
Gap between the rail and the front edge of each step. Varies with: at least 2 in on carpeted stairs; 3 in for a folding rail.
Between the armrests
20½ in

Where these figures come from

Every figure on this site comes from Bruno's own documents for the Elan SRE-5000. Where they disagree, for example on the seat size in the drawing and the brochure, we show both figures rather than pick one.
